My specialty is photography in the Southwest and, in particular the Four Corners area.

Before retiring, I lived in Long Beach, California with my husband Jim and our two daughters, and taught middle school math.
After moving to Durango in July 1999, I was able to return to the hobby I love, photography. I began by taking classes in photography, Photoshop, graphic arts and web design at Smiley Studios with Kit Frost. I also joined the Durango Photography Club.
My photographic equipment consists of various Nikon 35 mm cameras, a Bogen carbon fiber tripod, a Sekonic spot meter and an assortment of lenses and filters. My newest cameras are a Nikon D200 and a Canon A640.
My photographic journeys take me everywhere in the Four Corners area and beyond; in canyons looking for ancient ruins, on mountain tops overlooking magnificent valleys, along stream beds where many times I sit and wait for just the right light or the best sunset or for clouds and sun to disappear or reappear. This waiting gives me time to reflect and think of all possible compositions that surround me.
My newest photographic interest is our grandson Brian, and trains.
Every time I go out into our environment to make pictures, I see God’s hand print. I consider myself extremely fortunate to be able to live here. I hope my images touch your soul.
