The Durango Photography Club

The Durango Photography Club will meet at 7:00 pm on Thursday, February 16, 2012 in the Pine Room at the Fairgrounds Extension Building. The speaker will be Suzi McGregor. Suzi will talk about people and nature images and how she achieves her end results using light and backgrounds.

She was born in Tucson, Arizona and has spent the last twenty-five years documenting the world through her lens. Her work has appeared in the New Your Times, Time, Newsweek, American West, Audubon, Sierra, Wilderness and various other national and international newspapers and magazines. She is the author of Under the Sun, and co-author of Living Homes: Sustainable Architecture and Design. She exhibits at the Open Shutter Gallery.

Monthly Photo Theme: The theme for February is "Sunrises/Sunsets". Members and guests may bring up to 3 photos, 8 x 10 or larger, for comments and critique. The photo selected as best of the night will receive a Club blue ribbon.

Note that the theme has been changed for April to "Red and/or Round". This is the first of our "new" themes requiring us to look around us and discover new ways of looking at our surroundings
